Benefits of Choosing Gainsborough Waste Dump Sites

Bringing your waste to our site is a simple and effective way to manage waste materials. We make it easy to schedule a timeslot by requesting an appointment through our online form. Once your drop-off time is secured, you can take advantage of these benefits.

Convenience

We have two conveniently located dump site locations within Harris County. You can find them at these addresses:

Both dump site locations operate within the same business hours during weekdays. You can drop waste off Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Then, our main location on McCarty St. is open on Saturdays between 7:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Our T.C. Jester location is closed on Saturdays.)

We have a truck scale on-site, so you don’t have to go through multiple locations to weigh your load before dropping it at one of these locations. This on-site scale lets you pull your truck forward and dump your waste. Your truck is re-weighed, and the final bill is calculated.

It’s simple and safe, as we provide you with PPE while unloading the waste from your truck.

100% Concrete Surfaces

We respect that drivers want to keep their trucks clean, so we care for the condition of our Dump Sites. Our surfaces are 100% paved concrete, ensuring that you don’t have to deal with dirt that could turn into mud.

No Waiting in Line

At other dump site locations, you might have to wait up to 30 minutes to drop off your load. But not at Gainsborough Waste.

We know that time is money, so we’ve streamlined our operations to ensure you have access to a speedy drop-off process. Pull up your truck, weigh your waste, remove your load, and you can get back on the road.

Straightforward Payment Process

We want your time at our Dump Site to be used efficiently. We’ve optimized our payment process and now accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express). We even accept Zelle. Dropping your solid waste at one of our locations is easier than ever.

We Recycle

If you bring us clean wood, we’ll transfer it to a mulch facility for recycling. We take any remaining particles to a Type IV landfill. As a result, only 25% of the material brought to our Dump Site ends up in a landfill.

Also, we recently added an air burner to our facility, allowing us to handle and process additional items. You can bring us landscaping project waste, such as:

  • Tree root balls
  • Tree stumps
  • Lumber
  • Landscape waste
  • Land clearing waste

There is no grinding, chipping, or additional processing of these materials. They get placed in the air burner for a quick, clean burn. Our company is committed to sustainability, so we offer an environmentally-friendly solution to remove your waste.

FAQs

  1. What types of waste do you accept at your Harris County dump sites?

We accept most non-hazardous solid waste from construction, demolition, landscaping, and residential cleanups. Common materials include construction debris, lumber, landscaping and land-clearing waste, tree stumps, tree root balls, and general household junk. If you’re unsure whether your material is accepted, call us before you arrive.

  1. What materials are not accepted?

We do not accept hazardous waste. This typically includes items such as chemicals, paints, solvents, oils, fuel, certain liquids, and any other regulated hazardous materials. Contact us in advance if you have questions about specific items so we can confirm whether they can be brought to our sites.

  1. Do I need an appointment, or can I just show up?

We encourage you to request a timeslot through our website or by calling our office so we can keep your visit fast and efficient. Scheduling ahead helps us minimize any wait time and ensures our team is ready to receive your load when you arrive.

  1. How long will I have to wait to dump my load?

We work hard to keep your visit quick. Unlike other sites where you may wait, our operations are designed to minimize or eliminate long lines. With a booked timeslot and our efficient scale and unloading process, you can typically get in and out quickly and back to work.

  1. What is an air burner, and what can you put in it?

We use an air burner at our facility to handle certain types of landscaping and land-clearing waste. You can bring us items such as tree root balls, tree stumps, lumber, and other landscape or land-clearing debris. These materials go directly into the air burner for a quick, clean burn with no grinding, chipping, or extra processing required.

  1. Do you provide safety equipment while I unload?

Yes, our team can provide the necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) for a rental fee if you do not have PPE (hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety vest, and safety glasses). We prioritize safety for drivers and staff at all times.
