Construction waste and debris can pile up quickly. It can create a mess, throw off your construction schedule, and create safety issues for workers. When debris starts piling up at your job site in Houston, you need flexible disposal solutions that work around your timeline – not the other way around.
Whether you’re a contractor handling a major renovation or a construction manager tackling a large-scale build, having reliable waste management options to dispose of construction waste can make the difference between a smooth operation and costly delays.

What Are Your Options to Dispose of Construction Waste?
The challenge for construction managers isn’t just getting rid of construction materials; it’s finding disposal methods that fit your schedule, accept the specific waste types you’re generating, and offer competitive pricing.Â
Many construction site managers struggle with limited disposal hours, long wait times at traditional landfills, and uncertainty about which materials can be recycled. But not with Gainsborough Waste.
Because we are local to Houston, we work closely with managers to ensure you receive the greatest value for your project needs. Take a look at our solutions.
1. Bring Your Waste to Our Disposal Site
For construction site managers who prefer direct control over their waste disposal schedule, Gainsborough Waste operates two convenient transfer stations in Houston. These facilities are designed specifically for contractors, landscapers, and businesses who need to dispose of waste quickly and efficiently.
Location Options
- Main Office (I-10 and Highway 90): 950 McCarty St., Houston, TX 77029
- T.C. Jester Location: 5200 Egbert St., Houston, TX 77007
Both locations offer competitive pricing at $15 per cubic yard, with straightforward rates based on load size and material type. Small pickup truck loads receive lower pricing, while larger trailer loads (12′, 14′, and 16′) are priced according to volume and waste type.
Operating Hours
The McCarty Street location operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., plus Saturday hours from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Egbert Street facility runs Monday through Friday only, providing flexibility for weekday disposal needs.
What You Can Bring
Our TCEQ Type V Disposal Site accepts a wide range of construction debris, including:
- Drywall and sheetrock
- Concrete, bricks, and asphalt
- Roofing materials and shingles
- Treated and untreated lumber
- Metals, plastic, and cardboard
- Clean wood and brush debris
Many of these materials can be recycled, contributing to sustainable construction practices while keeping costs manageable. We handle sorting and processing once you drop off your load, streamlining disposal for busy construction teams.
Requirements
Safety equipment is mandatory at both locations. You’ll need a hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses. If you or your team arriving on-site lacks the required PPE, individual items are available on-site for a fee.
2. On-Site Roll-Off Dumpster Service
Bringing waste to our disposal site isn’t practical for everyone. If you have a tight project timeline or limited crew availability, our roll-off dumpster service brings the solution directly to you.
This option works particularly well for longer projects, remote locations, or when you need continuous waste disposal without interrupting workflow.
Dumpster Size Options
- 15-yard dumpsters: Ideal for smaller renovation projects.
- 20-yard dumpsters: Best for moderate construction jobs.
- 30-yard dumpsters: Suitable for larger demolition projects.
- 40-yard dumpsters: Designed for major construction and commercial projects.
Roll-off dumpsters eliminate the need for multiple trips to disposal sites, reducing fuel costs and keeping your crew focused on construction work rather than waste hauling. The containers can remain on-site for your project duration, allowing you to dispose of waste as it’s generated rather than storing debris until making disposal runs.
Service Benefits
Our roll-off service includes delivery, pickup, and proper disposal of contents. We handle the logistics while you focus on project completion. The containers are designed for easy loading from ground level, making them more efficient than repeatedly loading trucks or trailers for disposal site trips.
Scheduling Flexibility
Unlike fixed disposal site hours, roll-off dumpsters work around your project schedule. Whether your project requires extended hours, weekends, or varying debris generation rates, the container is available when you need it.
Ready to Help You Make the Right Choice for Your Project
The decision between using our disposal site versus roll-off dumpster service often comes down to project specifics.
- Short-term projects with predictable waste volumes may benefit from direct disposal site visits, especially when you have crews available during operating hours.
- Longer projects, remote job sites, or situations where work crews can’t spare time to drive to our facility typically work better with on-site dumpster placement.
You will want to consider factors like project duration, waste volume, crew availability, and transportation costs when making your selection. Either way, both options ensure your construction waste is handled responsibly by our local team.
