Gainsborough Waste Reflects on 2020 Successes

A Message from Gainsborough Waste president Noble Carl

In 2019, Gainsborough Waste celebrated 25 years of business serving the waste needs of our customers in the Greater Houston area. Then, 2020 happened. It was a year unlike any we have seen during our lifetime.

Through all the challenges we experienced as a community this year, I can proudly report that Gainsborough Waste continued to provide needed waste services in a safe and efficient manner throughout the year.

The hard work that our team put into elevating our provision of waste services truly paid off in 2020. In fact, despite the pandemic and related interruptions, we improved our safety record and increased our efficiency.

Proud of Our Efforts to Elevate Safety

Safety is of the utmost importance to our company. Our safety manager, Jessica Flores, has done a tremendous job of supporting continuous improvement by implementing the latest safety measures and building new safety programs to track performance.

In 2020, we achieved our safety goals with flying colors thanks to key initiatives such as weekly audits, ride-along reviews, driver evaluation programs, and driver recognition.

Next year, we plan to introduce new safety programs, continue to provide more training on the latest standards for driver safety, and add regular check-ins to our very specific driver training program.

Our safety efforts are centered on one goal. We want to protect our valued customers, employees, and communities throughout the Greater Houston area. Because we operate and live right here in Houston, we care about protecting those who receive services, provide services, or are impacted by our waste services.

For our customers, we know how important it is to work with a service provider that cares about safety. We work hard every day to ensure that we are supporting your safety requirements at the job site, construction project, or place of business.

How We Improved Efficiencies in 2020

In 2020, we focused on achieving more efficiencies with our provision of waste services. Gainsborough Waste already leads Houston waste providers in turnaround time, but we set our sights on achieving even more efficiencies for our customers.

The results are in. We improved our hour-per-haul rate by approximately 17 percent in 2020. Our efforts to achieve efficiencies through strong coordination between our drivers, operations, sales, and customer service teams resulted in tremendous benefits to our customers. When you needed waste services the most during the disruption, we were ready to spring to action.

As we look ahead to 2021, we have more plans to achieve additional efficiencies. We’re excited to take another positive step forward so that you can receive waste services exactly when needed. You can rest assured that everything we are doing behind the scenes is aimed at providing services in a safe and expedient manner to your location.
